This delightful hibiscus sorbet will steal anyone's heart. Vegan + homemade goodness makes for a truly healthy alternative to conventionally made sweets. Give it a whirl!
For the tea:
- 1/4 C hibiscus tea
- 2 C water
- 3 Tbsp lime juice
For the syrup:
- 1 C sugar
- 1 C water
Things to do the day before:
- In a glass bowl, mix hibiscus tea, two cups water and lime juice. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
- In a small saucepan, mix sugar and water over medium heat. Let simmer for about 5 minutes, remove from heat, cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
- Grab the hibiscus/water/lime mixture out of the fridge and strain into medium bowl; then mix in 1 C of the simple syrup that you have had chilling in the fridge.
- Add this mixture to your ice cream maker and follow your ice cream maker instructions to finish the sorbet
